A good design landing page can improve the conversion by a wide margin, but many people didn’t design and set a landing page when they advertise with Google AdWords.
So there are 5 tips for the landing page design, I hope they can help you:
1. Put the most important content in the upper 300 pixels of the webpage. Because many people will not scroll to the footer, so keep the most important content at first screen view.
2. Put a call to action on the first screen view.
3. Be obvious and use standard usage conventions. No people want to spend their time to thought what you think, so let me know what you are less than 3 seconds.
4. Make sure the visitors can fill your form easilerly. Some landing page want to collect the imformation of the visitors, so make the input form easy to the user.
5.Design your landing page according to the F-Pattern Eye-Tracking Principle. Visitor tend to use a F-shared mode to read the webpage, so put the important picture on the left.(For more on this, see Jakob Nielsen’s eyetracking research).
The landing page is the last step for the visitor buy something, so to design landing page has to focus on firing-up your visitor’s self-interest as well as build confidence and trust in your product/service and in you/your company.
